Dr Graeme Stasiuk was appointed as Non-Clinical Lecturer in Molecular Imaging at the University of Hull, in the School of Life Science in June 2014.

He has seven years of research experience, post PhD, into the design, synthesis and development of molecular imaging agents for all modalities.

Following a year at the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) in Grenoble, developing multimodal nanoparticle MR/Fluorescent contrast agents, he joined Professor Nick Long’s group at Imperial College London in 2011 as Post-Doctoral Research Assistant, this work was focused on multimodal and targeted imaging.

Research Interests

Research areas include multimodal contrast agents, the combination of gadolinium based chelates/macrocycles for MRI and quantum dot nanoparticles or organic fluorophores for optical imaging and radioisotopes such as fluorine-18 and gallium-68 for PET, to create a single agent that can be used to monitor a particular disease/cellular process through various imaging techniques.
