Charlotte started her career as a lecturer in Scandinavian Studies at the University of Hull after completing a PhD in Swedish literature at the University of Wales, Lampeter.

After qualifying as a primary school teacher, she worked in various local schools before returning to the University as a lecturer in education in 2012.

Charlotte continues to work as a lecturer in teacher education, working on all the primary teacher education programmes, and also manages the team of partnership area tutors as the Senior Partnership Area Tutor.
