Dr Creazza built extensive knowledge and experience in logistics and supply chain management, joining academic qualifications with industry experience (research projects and consultancy) and teaching executive education.

His areas of expertise include the design of supply chain networks with risk and sustainability considerations (adopting mixed quantitative and qualitative approaches) which are now applied in projects with the Logistics Institute.

External roles

Dr Creazza is external examiner at the University of Lincoln, Business School, for the FDSc Logistics Management.

He is currently collaborating with the Logistics Institute of The University of Hull for the development of a £2-million Innovate UK project on the Optimisation of the Freight Transport along the Liverpool-Humber corridor (LHOFT project).

He is also collaborating with a pan-European consortium of academics from the UK, Finland, Romania and France for the development of a project on retail logistics and in particular on the 'Expectations of Millennial Consumers Regarding Online Shopping and Fulfillment'.

Dr Creazza collaborated with the Italian Ministry of Research and Education for the development of a project within the Relevant National Research Projects Scheme on the development of 'Innovative Models for the Distribution of Medical Devices at Local Level'.

He also collaborated with the Italian Chamber of Commerce for the development of several projects on the mapping of logistics flows in the Milanese Logistical Region.

He collaborated with the Organising Committee of EXPO 2015 Milan for the development of a project on the 'Analysis of Logistical Needs and Development of Operational Solutions for the Food Replenishment of EXPO 2015’s venue' and on the same topic he worked with the Lombardy Region Research Institute on a project for the 'Development of the Logistics Services Industry for EXPO 2015'.

Professional highlights

Dr Creazza has worked on a number of research and consultancy projects, attracting funds of more than £850,000 as principal and co-investigator.

Prior to his current role at Hull University Business School, Dr Creazza was a lecturer at the School of Management and Industrial Engineering at LIUC University (Italy), an adjunct lecturer at the School of Systems Engineering of Politecnico di Milano (Italy) and a researcher at C-log, the Logistics Research Centre of LIUC University (Italy).

He has also taught on executive courses for professionals at a variety of institutions including private and public business schools and trade union institutes.

In 2006 he successfully passed the state exam that enabled him to enrol on the Charter of Industrial Engineers in Italy.

In his working background, Dr Creazza has been developing a consultancy experience in logistics network design and transport management.

His scientific interests have resulted in numerous articles presented at international conferences and published in leading national journals and international peer-reviewed journals. He is also a reviewer for a number of international peer-reviewed journals.
