Carmino Massarella is a Solicitor (England and Wales) and a lecturer in law whose research focuses on the law of the sea, particularly piracy and maritime security.

With substantial experience in practice, he is a supervisor on the Law Clinic module, and also teaches on the Practical Legal Skills module.

Carmino holds a PhD and LLM in International Law and convenes the International Law modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

He has also contributed to a number of other modules including the Law of Tort, the Law of the Sea, International Criminal Law, International Investment Law and European Human Rights.
