Aidan is a chartered chemical engineer with more than 40 years’ experience across manufacturing, technology, process design, projects and research / development.

Previously employed by BP, latterly as the Chief Process Safety Engineer for the alternative energy segment, he now works as a freelance consultant in process design and process safety, teaching both of these topics at the University.

Aidan is a European Engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers, for which he assesses and interviews candidates seeking to become chartered engineers. He also audits company training schemes to ensure they meet the IChemE requirements for accreditation.
