City of Culture Scholarship
To mark the success of Hull's City of Culture year thus far, and to support students who wish to get more involved with the City of Culture, the University of Hull is pleased to announce fifty scholarships of £1,000 available for postgraduate taught study, commencing September 2017.
University of Hull alumni can receive the City of Culture Scholarship in addition to the Graduate Studentship.
Successful applicants will be encouraged to engage with the City of Culture celebrations. This may be in the form of producing a reflective statement, journal, blog or video blog on how volunteering or participating has benefitted them, and may include recordings or artistic materials.
In order to apply for the City of Culture Scholarship, students must be:
- Beginning a postgraduate taught masters degree programme, for example MA, MSc, MRes (taught)*
- Ordinarily resident in the UK and eligible to pay Home/EU fees
- Self-funding their Masters programme (this may be via a Postgraduate Loan)
Applicants must not already hold an equivalent level qualification.
* Excludes postgraduate certificates/diplomas, PGCE, MBA, MA Women's & Gender Studies (GEMMA), Masters Foundation programmes and Distance Taught provision
Applications must be submitted online here by 5pm 18 August 2017.
The award will be paid in cash in two instalments, or as a tuition fee waiver at the student's request.
