Entry requirements

  • Undergraduate

We're currently confirming our 2018 undergraduate entry requirements and will publish them soon.

In the meantime, please get in touch by emailing global@hull.ac.uk or call +44 (0)1482 462190.

Don't quite meet the requirements? Don't worry - we review every application on an individual basis. Email global@hull.ac.uk to find out more. You may also be interested in our degree preparation course, ONCAMPUS.

  • Postgraduate Taught

The majority of our taught Masters programmes require that you hold a qualification equivalent to a lower second-class Bachelor Honours (or 2.2). Please check our course pages for specific entry requirements.

We generally consider Diplomã de Licentã / Diplomã Inginer / Diplomã de Arhitect (other professional undergraduate degrees may apply) awarded by a nationally recognised higher education institution in Romania to be comparable to a UK Bachelor Honours degree.

    Lower second-class (2.2) equivalent
Overall grade 7.0 out of 10

    Upper second-class (2.1) equivalent
Overall grade 8.0 out of 10

Don't quite meet the requirements? Don't worry - we review every application on an individual basis. Email global@hull.ac.uk.

  • Postgraduate Research

Check course listings for specific entry requirements. Please get in touch if you have any questions. Remember, we judge each application on an individual basis.

If your first language is not English, or you require a Tier 4 student visa to study, you will be required to provide evidence of your English language proficiency level. Find out more.

"When I decided to come to Hull I wasn’t sure if it was going to be the right decision for me, but after a year here I am certain that it was. Life in Hull is nice and peaceful. The campus is huge, but you can walk anywhere in less than 10 minutes.

"Student life is different compared with other universities because you have everything in one place. It is wonderful that you can join so many societies, for example the International Student Association, the Athletic Union and so on. By getting involved in lots of activities you never get bored.

"Through choosing to study here, I had the opportunity to discover what a great university means. The people are friendly so I felt at home from the first day, and this City of Culture makes you feel you are a part of it from the beginning.

"I loved everything here: not only the people, but also the buildings, the weather and all the social opportunities! Hull is the best city a student can live in. My friends and I always say you don’t cry when you get to Hull, but you cry when you leave."

"When I came to the UK, I didn’t know what to expect as I hadn’t been here before, but once I arrived in Hull and spent a few days wandering around the campus, I saw how friendly and warm people were here.

"The Geography Department is absolutely incredible; the staff are really open and always available to help. You can visit them whenever they are in their office and they’ll chat with you and give you helpful advice.
