Kenya

Hello and welcome!

We're one of the country's oldest universities, and we've come a long way in our 90 years. The University of Hull is a vibrant institution – a blend of English tradition and cutting-edge technology.

We're among the UK's top 10 universities for graduate employability.

We nurture communities and we put our students (drawn from more than 100 countries) at the heart of everything we do.

Find out what qualifications you need to apply to study with us. Learn more about paying fees and discover where you can meet us in your country.

Entry requirements

  • Undergraduate

We're currently confirming our 2018 undergraduate entry requirements and will publish them soon.

In the meantime, please get in touch by emailing global@hull.ac.uk or call +44 (0)1482 462190.

Don't quite meet the requirements? Don't worry - we review every application on an individual basis. Email global@hull.ac.uk to find out more. You may also be interested in our degree preparation course, ONCAMPUS.

  • Postgraduate Taught

The majority of our taught Masters programmes require that you hold a qualification equivalent to a lower second-class Bachelor Honours (or 2.2). Please check our course pages for specific entry requirements.

We generally consider a Bachelors degree awarded by a nationally recognised higher education institution in Kenya to be comparable to a UK Bachelor Honours degree.

If your degree is awarded by a private institution, it must be recognised by the Commission for University Education.

Don't quite meet the requirements? Don't worry - we review every application on an individual basis. Email global@hull.ac.uk.

  • Postgraduate Research

Check course listings for specific entry requirements. Please get in touch if you have any questions. Remember, we judge each application on an individual basis.

If your first language is not English, or you require a Tier 4 student visa to study, you will be required to provide evidence of your English language proficiency level. Find out more.

"My time at Hull makes me better prepared for my career and life. Hull has made me more confident to take opportunities in life, opportunities to perform and promote positivity. I have enjoyed my time at Hull with all the events and opportunities the city has provided me." Grace Obadha, MMus Music

Kenya - Grace Obadha

"I chose to study a Masters in Music as I’ve always had a passion for music and performance. Since I already had a major in music from my undergraduate degree, I really wanted to specialise and gain more knowledge in music performance. The course is challenging; with so many brilliant singers and professors, I am continuously developing skills. This makes me a better individual in terms of performance and character, which will hopefully make me become a better musician!

"I am part of Hull Chapel Choir and Hull Music Society. I am also a member of the University of Hull Performing Arts Society. They are great places for helping me develop my performing arts skills.

"Hull is a peaceful city and the weather is not bad. It’s different from my country and I love the fact that Hull is a great travel destination. It has an important place in history, so it is special to live in such a wonderful place.

"My time at Hull makes me better prepared for my career and life. Hull has made me more confident to take opportunities in life, opportunities to perform and promote positivity. I have enjoyed my time at Hull with all the events and opportunities the city has provided me. After University, I will continue performing and hold Master classes in Performance. I hope to go back into teaching and apply what I have learnt during my studies.

"My greatest moments from my time at Hull are:

  1. Hull Fair – a great event!
  2. Performing in churches in Old Town with Hull Chapel Choir – many spectacular buildings.
  3. Student sessions and singing in Vineyard Church."
