What to do and when on the day of your graduation in Hull

Information on what to do on the day at the Scarborough Graduation

 

If you are graduating at 10.30 am on:

Monday 10th July
Tuesday 11th July
Wednesday 12th July or 
Thursday 13th July 2017...

  • Pick up your robes from the Guildhall - 8.00am until 9.30am
  • Official photographs in the Guildhall - 8.00am until 9.30am and 12.30pm onwards
  • Make your way to the Registration Desk in the Mortimer Suite City Hall to obtain your seat number - 9.00am until 10.00am
  • City Hall opens for guests - 9.30am
  • Graduating students to be in their seats in the main hall - 10.00am at the latest
  • Guests to take their seats in the Main Hall - 10.10am
  • Ceremony starts - 1.30am
  • Ceremony ends (approximate time) - 12noon

After your ceremony

Monday - Wednesday

After your ceremony, if you are attending your special graduation lunch, you can return your robes to Staff House on campus by 7.15 pm. Alternatively, return robes to the Guildhall in the city centre by 7.15 pm. Photography is taking place in the Guildhall from 8 am to 7 pm and in Staff House from 1 pm to 7 pm.

Thursday

After your ceremony, if you are attending your special graduation lunch, you can return your robes to Staff House on campus by 4.30 pm. Alternatively, return robes to the Guildhall in the city centre by 4.30 pm. Photography is taking place in the Guildhall from 8 am to 4.30 pm and in Staff House from 1 pm to 4 pm.

If you are graduating at 1.30pm on:

Monday 10th July
Tuesday 11th July
Wednesday 12th July or
Thursday 13th July 2017...

  • Pick up your robes from the Guildhall - 10.00am until 12.00pm
  • Official photographs in the Guildhall - 10.00am until 12.00pm and 3.30pm onwards

  • City Hall opens for guests - 12.45pm
  • Graduating students to be in their seats in the main hall - 1.00pm
  • Guests to take their seats - 1.10pm
  • Ceremony starts - 1.30pm
  • Ceremony ends (approximate time) - 3pm

  • City Hall opens for guests - 3.45pm
  • Graduating students to be in their seats in the main hall - 4.00pm
  • Guests to take their seats - 4.10pm
  • Ceremony starts - 4.30pm
  • Ceremony ends (approximate time) - 6pm
