What happens on the day of your graduation

What to do and when on the day of your graduation.

If you are graduating at 10.30 AM:

  • Collect your ceremony tickets and robes from the Guildhall
    8am – 9.30am
  • Official photographs in the Guildhall
    8am - 9.30am and 12.30am onwards
  • Make your way to the registration desk in the Mortimer Suite, City Hall, obtain your seat number
    9am - 10am 
  • City Hall doors open for guests
    9.30am
  • Graduating students to be in their seats in the Main Hall
    10.00am
  • Guests to take their seats in the Main Hall
    10.10am
  • Ceremony starts
    10.30am
  • Ceremony ends (approximate time)
    12 noon

If you are graduating at 2 PM:

  • Collect your ceremony tickets and robes from the Guildhall
    10.30am – 12.30pm
  • Official photographs in the Guildhall
    10.30am - 12.30pm and 3.30pm onwards
  • Make your way to the registration desk in the Mortimer Suite, City Hall, obtain your seat number
    12.30pm - 1.30pm 
  • City Hall doors open for guests
    1.15pm
  • Graduating students to be in their seats in the Main Hall
    1.30pm
  • Guests to take their seats in the Main Hall
    1.40pm
  • Ceremony starts
    2pm
  • Ceremony ends (approximate time)
    3.30 pm
